Girls, this DIY California wedding at Kirigin Cellars is sure to make you want to use every creative bone in your body! This wedding was completely designed and created by the bride, her husband, and her “bridesbabes!” As you will see, this bride is super creative! So creative in fact, that she has just launched her own design business. I have to tell you, this wedding looks so fun I wish I could have been there myself! I mean, who doesn’t want to play jumbo Jenga and take home super cool mini piñata favors?
Rita takes such great pride in the creation of her wedding day, and she certainly should. Filled with over-sized crepe flowers and vibrant colors, this wedding boasts a cool demeanor with a super fun twist. Rita and Sean’s festive wedding has me in awe of what a bride and her babe tribe can do on a DIY wedding mission! She describes her wedding vision in such great detail, that I just have to let you read it in her words. Trust me, you want to read this.
“Imagine walking into a whimsical dream-like wonderland. Huge flowers. Gold sprinkles. Over-sized games. A vast amount of beautiful nature. Color at every view. And love… oh the love… everywhere! As a professional graphic designer and art director, I knew I wanted my wedding to be a little different than the norm. My husband and I viewed our wedding day as a day to celebrate our love for one another with our family and friends. We wanted everyone to feel the joy and love we felt for one another—so essentially, we kind of wanted to throw an epic wonderland, dream-like experience, with pretty sprinkled around.” – Rita
The ceremony was adorned with eight foot tall crepe flowers and a breathtaking view of gorgeous green mountains. Would you guess that the groom made those huge flowers himself? Yes girls! I swear. I think it’s amazing that this groom was so creative in helping his lovely bride with their décor. There is nothing more adorable than the ceremony procession. Rita says, ” the groomsmen and groom walked out to the “The Man” by Aloe Blac just to set the playful mood. They looked sharp in their grey suites, teal ties, and pink boutonnieres, while the groom stunned with his pink tie. He owned it walking down the aisle making all our guests giggle a bit. The bridesbabes, yep, I named them babes instead of maids, walked out to a remix of “Lean on Me” by Club Nouveau to solidify how much those babes mean to me.”
You’ve just got to love the quirky, fun energy of this couple and their wedding. Just when you think things couldn’t get any more adorable, this couple surprises you again with amazing handmade details and tons of reception fun. As mutual lovers of sports, Rita and Sean incorporated their favorite games and athletes into their wedding day details. Just look at how all of their details came together. You will never guess who caught the bouquet! You just have to see it to believe it. Let the games begin!
