You’ve got to see this gorgeous Grand Haven DIY wedding amazingly captured by Sydney Marie Photography. Taking place at Camp Blodgett in Grand Haven, Michigan, Sam and Ron’s May wedding is sure to inspire you with chic rustic wedding inspiration and perfectly created DIY elements.
Sam and Ron’s love story starts with a frog, a truck, and an immediate unspoken chemistry that created a seven year bond that can never be broken. After discovering their romantic connection and surviving the challenges of life while sometimes being separated by thousands of miles, this couple bound their beautiful friendship together forever on May 30th, 2015.
Their proposal, from the groom’s perspective, is the cutest ever heard. After purchasing a shiny engagement ring with the help of his sister, Ron went to the “fashion capital of modern America,” what he jokingly calls Walmart, to begin the second step of planning the Christmas morning engagement. His plan was to pick the most “horrendous outfit one could imagine” and pretend that he was making a real attempt to pass it off as a gift to Sam on Christmas morning. But the surprise is that he would hide the ring in the pocket of the camo, denim pants covered in rhinestones that he found at Walmart. After forcing Sam to try on her new rhinestone, camo pants and faux fur leopard hoodie from the fashion capitol of modern America, she pulled out the shiny ring and said yes!
When you see a such a fun, loving couple overcome the odds of life with unbelievable optimism, pick each other up when they fall, and adorably admire each other, it really shows you the beauty of how sweet it is to be loved and rock rhinestone denim pants on Christmas morning.
